Contamination Control Strippable

Contamination Control Strippable (CC Strip) is used to decon surfaces contaminated with plutonium and uranium. CC Strip is water based non-toxic, non-hazardous and can be applied by spraying or brushing. Loose contmination is encapsulated in the CC Strip and removed when the coating is peeled off.

CC Strip can be applied over CC Wet. CC Strip causes the CC Wet to be re-hydrated and absorbed by the CC Strip. The contamination originally captured by the CC Wet is now removable with the CC Strip. This process is being used at DOE sites and has proven to be highly effective in decontamination activities.
